SETUP NOTES
VPNQC Beginner Guide
Setting things up for the first time? Start with your account and plan, get your subscription, then import it on your device and verify the connection. This guide focuses on the steps you need to complete.
Why don't the buttons in my client match the guide? Interface labels vary across operating systems and clients. Options such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Import from URL” may appear in different places. Follow the purpose of each step here, and refer to the dashboard's download instructions and your client's actual interface. The button labels do not need to match exactly.
ACCOUNT
Create an Account and Open the User Dashboard
What do I need before I start? VPNQC doesn't require an email address. Create an account with a username and password. Open the account page below, enter the requested details in the dashboard, check them, and submit. Choose a username you can recognize and a unique password you don't use on other sites. Store it in a password manager you trust. Your account details are used to sign in, view your plan, and get your subscription. Don't share them in screenshots of your subscription.
I already have an account. Do I need to create another? No. Select “Log in” at the top of the page to access your existing account and keep your orders and subscriptions together. When you first open the dashboard, make sure you're signed in to the account you intend to use. If your browser has saved details for another account, double-check before choosing a plan. If you haven't activated a plan yet, an empty subscription section in the overview doesn't mean account creation failed.
What if I don't reach the dashboard after submitting? Check for username or password guidance near the form, make any suggested changes, and submit again. If the page keeps loading, make sure you can open other pages on the site, then try reloading. Avoid submitting repeatedly, and never share your password with someone else to complete the steps for you. Once your account is ready, choose a data plan in the dashboard.
PLAN
Choose a Plan and Check Your Order Status
Should I choose a monthly plan or a data package? If you expect to use the service regularly, compare the monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Monthly data resets on your activation date, not at the start of each calendar month. If you're unsure how much data you need, think about what you'll use it for—browsing, remote work, or video streaming, for example. Don't choose based only on the number of devices: there is no limit on simultaneous devices.
My usage varies. How should I choose a data option? A data package is another billing option: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. The data remains available until used and never expires. The main difference between monthly plans and data packages is how billing and data usage work; package prices are not monthly charges. For a side-by-side comparison, read the Plans and Pricing page, then return to the dashboard to choose.
Where do I select a plan? Open the Plans section in the user dashboard and choose the plan you want. Review the price, data allowance, and billing method shown in the order, then follow the payment page instructions. VPNQC supports Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT; follow the options shown in the dashboard. After payment, return to the dashboard and check that the plan is active. Completing payment does not replace checking the status in your dashboard.
I paid but still can't see my subscription. Should I place another order? First refresh the overview, confirm you're using the right account, and check the order status in the dashboard. Keep your payment confirmation and don't pay again just to make the page update. If you still have questions, submit a support ticket from the dashboard. VPNQC offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you upgrade mid-term, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the result shown in the dashboard before submitting the change. Once your subscription is active, continue to the next step to get it.
SUBSCRIPTION
Get Your Subscription and Keep the Full Link
What does the client need once my plan is active? Get your subscription details from the user dashboard. Don't enter the website's homepage address in your client. Open the account overview, check your plan status and available data, then find the subscription section. If the dashboard offers an import option for your client, follow its instructions. Otherwise, copy the subscription link for manual import.
How can I make sure I copied the right link? A subscription link is usually a long URL. Use the dashboard's copy option to get the whole link—don't retype it from a screenshot or remove parameters that look unnecessary. The example below shows the link format only and cannot be used to connect. The link you need to import is available only in the signed-in user dashboard. If your client says the link is invalid, copy it again from the dashboard rather than editing the example URL.
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
Can I send my subscription link to someone to check? It may contain information tied to your account access, so treat it as sensitive. Don't post it in public forums, shared documents, or screenshots. When asking for help, describe the message you see and hide the full link and any sensitive parameters. After copying the link, paste it directly into your client's import field. There's no need to run it through an unfamiliar website or display its contents publicly in a browser.
Why don't I see a server list after copying the link? Copying only gets you the subscription URL; your client still needs to fetch and update it. Next, get the client for your operating system and import the link from the subscription or configuration section. If there's no subscription section in the overview, check that your plan is active and that you're signed in to the right account. For help diagnosing subscription update errors, see the FAQ. This guide doesn't cover editing configuration parameters.
Open the Account OverviewCLIENT IMPORT
Import Your Subscription on Your Device
Which type of client should I use? Get the VPNQC client for your operating system from the dashboard. Choose one that supports subscription management, and use the import method shown in the dashboard. VPNQC supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. The steps below cover common desktop and mobile import flows. You need to sign in to access client downloads; the available downloads depend on your account's subscription status and the dashboard instructions. This page doesn't provide public installation packages.
Get the ClientWindows: Add the Link in Subscription Management
Where do I import it on Windows? In the dashboard's downloads section, choose the desktop client for your system and install it. Open the app and look for “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or a similar management section. Choose the option to add from a link, then paste the full subscription URL you copied. If the app asks for a name, use a label you can recognize. The name is only for identifying the configuration; don't enter your password.
What should I see after saving? Wait for the client to fetch the subscription, then check whether a server list appears under that configuration. If the configuration is there but the list is empty, try updating it and look for a specific error message. Once the list appears, select the configuration and open the connection screen. If your system asks for permission, verify the app's source and follow the client's instructions. Don't disable system security features just to continue.
macOS: Import the Configuration and Check System Permissions
How is the process different on a Mac? Get the macOS desktop client from the dashboard, install it according to the download instructions, and open it. In the configuration or subscription management section, find the option to add a URL. Paste the complete subscription link and save it. Once the client has fetched it, select the imported configuration and confirm that the server list is visible. Installing the app alone does not import your subscription.
Why does a permission prompt appear when I connect? Some connection modes require system permission to add a network configuration or enable a related component. Check the app details in the prompt, follow the client's instructions to grant permission in System Settings, then return to the client. Don't repeatedly delete and reinstall the app instead of checking permissions. For a screen-by-screen walkthrough, read the Complete Mac VPN Setup Guide for Beginners. This guide continues with connection verification.
Android: Add a Configuration from a Link
Where do I import on Android? Get the Android mobile client from the dashboard, install it, and open the app. Go to configuration management and look for “Add,” “Import,” or an option to get a configuration from a URL. Paste the subscription link copied from the dashboard, save it, and update the configuration. If the input field already contains text, check whether it's an old configuration before replacing it. Don't paste the new link after existing text.
How do I enable the configuration once it appears? Return to the client's home screen, select the configuration and server you just imported, then turn on the connection. Your system may show a VPN connection request; confirm it comes from the client you installed and allow it when prompted. If the connection drops when the app moves to the background, keep it open in the foreground while you test. Battery and background settings vary by system; visit the Help Center for troubleshooting rather than changing every system option during your first import.
iOS: Get the Client and Add Your Subscription as Directed in the Dashboard
Where can I get a client for iPhone? Sign in to the dashboard and open the downloads section. Follow its iOS instructions to reach the appropriate download source; check the dashboard and store page for specific requirements. After installation, open a client that supports subscription management. In the subscription or configuration section, choose to add a link, paste the complete URL from your account overview, then save and update it. Don't mistake the client download page URL for your subscription link.
Do I need to allow anything after importing? Select the configuration and server, then allow the VPN configuration when prompted as you connect. Complete any authorization required by your device. Return to the client and check the connection status before testing a website in the next section. If you're unsure where to import the subscription or approve the system prompt, see the iPhone VPN Subscription Import Guide. Once configured, you don't need to import it again when switching target websites.
CONNECTION CHECK
Connect to a Server and Verify It Works
Does seeing servers in the list mean setup is complete? It only confirms that the subscription was fetched. First make sure the imported configuration is active, choose a server from the list, and turn on the connection. If the client has separate controls for the system proxy and connection, enable the required mode as instructed. System proxy indicators on desktop differ from VPN configuration indicators on mobile, so don't expect the same status icon everywhere.
How can I verify the connection instead of just checking the switch color? Check whether the client shows a connected status or a specific error, then open your browser and visit a website you want to use. Once the page loads, test the feature you need, such as opening a collaboration site or playing a video. Loading a homepage alone doesn't guarantee that your account has access, that a particular library is available, or that every feature will work. Platform region policies and account requirements still apply.
A website won't load. What should I check first? Make sure your device can access regular websites, then check that your subscription is active, data is available, and the correct configuration is selected in the client. Next, update the subscription and try another server. Change one setting at a time so you can identify the cause. Avoid running multiple proxy tools at once, as they can override each other's system proxy settings and show a connection status without routing traffic as expected.
Which region should I choose? Start with a server location that fits how you plan to use the target service, then judge it by the actual connection. VPNQC covers 120+ countries / 150+ routes; available options depend on your dashboard and subscription. A region label does not guarantee speed or access to a platform. See the Server Locations page for tips on choosing a route. You don't need to test every server during initial setup.
Still can't get it working? How can I ask for help effectively? Start with the FAQ and browse the “Connection,” “Speed,” or “Subscription” categories. If the issue involves DNS, app proxy settings, or frequent disconnections, see the relevant section in the Troubleshooting Guide. When submitting a support ticket, include your device's operating system, client name, selected server, the exact error message, and the steps you've already tried. Hide your subscription link, password, and other sensitive information.
I can access the service I need. What should I do next? Keep the configuration that works and note where to update your subscription and find the system connection switch. To set up another device, follow the same process to get a client and import your subscription. VPNQC supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but the account holder should keep the subscription secure.
